Israel–Somaliland relations

An economic, institutional and business bridge built on shared interests, economic potential and strategic location.

The relationship between Israel and Somaliland is built on shared interests, economic potential, strategic location, innovation, trade, investment and institutional cooperation. The Israel-Somaliland Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen economic and business ties between the parties, building bridges among businesspeople, investors, companies, institutions and government stakeholders.

Our activity rests on a foundation of relations built over the years and the official appointment of the Chamber’s founders — Mr. Dudu Mor and Adv. Eran Amarani — as representatives/coordinators of Somaliland vis-à-vis Israel, as confirmed in a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somaliland dated 15 December 2023.

The goal is to build a long-term foundation of trust, trade, investment and cooperation — through initial screening, inquiry vetting, connection to relevant parties and support for ventures of value to both sides.

The Chamber's role

  • Promoting trade and investment ties
  • Coordinating business and institutional parties
  • Connecting entrepreneurs and investors to opportunities
  • Creating an orderly framework for activity
  • Supporting delegations, conferences and meetings
  • Screening inquiries and safeguarding responsible activity

Outlook
